Our Mission

HealthCovered.org was built on one principle: every American deserves access to clear, accurate health insurance information — regardless of their income, education level, or technical background.

Health insurance is one of the most important financial decisions a household makes each year. Yet the information landscape is dominated by carrier advertising, lead gen sites that prioritize commissions over accuracy, and government pages written in bureaucratic language that most people can't parse.

We exist to fill that gap. Our guides explain ACA Marketplace plans, Medicare Advantage options, and enrollment deadlines in the same plain English you'd use to explain it to a family member.

• Primary source citations only. Statistics, policy details, and coverage rules are cited directly from CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), HHS, KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation), and official state exchange sources.
• Annual updates. All content is reviewed and updated at the beginning of each plan year to reflect current enrollment rules, premium benchmarks, and regulatory changes.
• No carrier bias. We do not accept advertising or promotional payments from insurance carriers. When we reference specific plans or carriers, it is because they are highly rated or broadly relevant — not because we are paid to mention them.
